Information - Demyx is the 9th member of Organization XIII. Compared to the other Organization members, he is often considered childish, and is often called 'weak' in battle. He was supposed to be trying to 'liberate Sora's true disposition', and also surveying the World of Olympus. He uses a sitar in battle to summon Water Dopplegangers, and uses the water element to attack and defend himself, and his special nobodies are the 'Dancer' nobodies, which like the fling you into the air, with you defenseless as they do so. Demyx later appeared after Sora beat him the first time around in Hollow Bastion, where Sora defeated him and he faded away.

Reason for adoration - When I first played Kingdom Hearts II just after Christmas, the first thing I was interested in was finding out what new characters starred in it where the Organization was concerned.

When I first found Olympius Colisseum, my first thoughts were 'Gah, not this level again'. And I rapidly tried to get out, mainly because TNBC world was the one I was aiming for. Then he appeared.

When I first saw him, before he spoke my first thoughts on him were 'Heh, you look pretty cool.' Of course, I don't love a character for his looks, I base it on personality. When he first stated 'Rokusasu?' I had to laugh at Sora. When he repeated it, I straight away realised that he was nothing like the other members. When he started reading from the sheet of paper, and the way he was speaking, I just knew he'd be my favourite character from the Kingdom Hearts series. When I defeated him, I continued saving the game from the second file, just so I could re-visit him whenever I felt like it. On the second visit, I actually shouted 'DEMYX!' at the screen. Yeah, I'm sure you can imagine what the family thought. I ADORED his little yelp after Sora asked how he got involved with the Organization. And the way he turned around to face Sora, I loved the fact that he 'shocked' Sora. Because Sora was so confident this nobody was useless, but Demyx proved him wrong. To be honest, after he faded away, I actually got upset at it. Don't laugh, I'm sure you've all done the same at a videogame.

I also love the fact his main element is water. Anyone who knows me knows that my favourite type of attack are water based ones. He can combine water with style, which is what too many characters can't do to save their life. But the main thing I love about him is how he's so sure he does have a heart - and his main interest isn't to take over the world and destroy it. It's just to.... Well. All he really seems to want is to have a normal, carefree life. Hence his dislike of fighting. Demyx never wanted to fight Sora, but when Sora hurt him, he was ready to defend himself. Which is another reason I love him - He feels so strongly towards the things he believes in, and he's willing to fight for that. Some people may consider him a coward for trying to run away everytime, and some have called him childish, but I believe there's more to him than that.

Overall, I can easily say that Demyx is my all-time favourite character from any game, anime, manga, film etc. To me, speaking around everything, he's one of the strongest characters I've actually met. I think his only real weakness is that he's a nobody, hence the enemy of Sora.
I'm really hoping they'll bring him back as his original character in the next game. ...Then I can finally find out more about his past. Heheh.... 'Medy'.
